About us

What's different about a career with Reed Exhibitions?

We're proud that Reed Exhibitions is the world's leading events business. We develop, market, sell and organise over five hundred events each year, bringing together seven million participants around the world. That's a lot of wristbands.

It works so well because we believe in small team structures. Reed Exhibitions is a large organisation, but our exhibition teams have autonomy and independence, so they can develop expert knowledge of their local market. We want people to enjoy a broad range of real responsibilities, even if they are at an early stage of their career. We are a global network where people can learn from one another and we encourage people to connect, learn and copy with pride.

Our outstanding people are the reason for our success, with their enthusiasm and passion for what they do. We recognise this by giving them everything they need to develop their ideas and progress their career. Our global network means there are fantastic opportunities for our people to travel and expand their horizons.

What Reed Exhibitions is doing to support candidates during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to escalate around the world, Reed Exhibitions’ number one priority is the health and safety of employees, customers, candidates and communities. All our thoughts are with everyone impacted by coronavirus.

To try and minimize the effects on our employees’ well-being and assist in preventing the spread of the virus, we have implemented a range of measures for our employees around the world and specifically for candidate interviewing. We’re working hard to ensure the best interviewing and onboarding experiences possible, primarily using a virtual process and video platforms. We recognize that these are unsettling times and whether you are preparing for an interview now or in the future, we want you to know that your safety and wellbeing are paramount.

Reed Exhibitions’ Recruitment teams are working closely with hiring managers to follow site specific instructions to interviewing candidates over the next few weeks. We have stopped all non-essential travel and asked all our employees to follow local public health hygiene advice and local / national government recommendations, which in some cases includes practicing social distancing and to self-isolate if feeling unwell. We are strongly encouraging, where possible, that our staff work remotely and stay connected virtually to to customers, colleagues and candidates. Our guidance for candidate interviews is as follows:

  • Recruiters and interviewers are proactively working with candidates to accommodate/reschedule interviews virtually
  • We will continue to be flexible and engage candidates virtually using full video conferencing capabilities available to us
  • We will follow local office site guidance for face to face/final interviews and where candidates do not have a video conference option to connect.

Tips for a successful virtual interview

To set/enhance the tone, a seamless connection and overall, positive interview for you, we’ve created a few tips to help set you up for success!

  •  Stay connected - confirm connectivity before the interview, set your status to busy, turn off other applications and your phone ringer (if applicable)
  • Set the scene - identify a quiet, private spot and ensure the background is not distracting. Try to avoid pets or other people entering the room or walking behind you
  • Dress professionally - remember this may set the tone for your first impression with Reed Exhibitions - be camera ready
  • Be Prepared – Have your resume and pen and paper readily available
  • Maintain good eye contact – don’t be distracted by emails or chats popping up, focus on the interviewer
  • Be Yourself: Authentic and make it a two-way conversation

We want to thank you in advance for your interest in joining Reed Exhibitions. We’re looking forward to getting to know interviewees and new employees face-to-face as soon as it’s safe for everyone involved. For the meantime, we hope you have an exceptional interview experience and enjoy meeting with the recruiter and hiring manager, albeit virtually.
