Our Marketing division covers a huge amount of data and digital.

We look for individuals who can fit into this kind of environment, even if you've never worked within exhibitions before. Our people are joining us from many different industries and a wide range of marketing specialisms.

Website Configuration

As part of this team, you'll configure the functionality of a website and ensure it’s set up efficiently for the users.

Insights & Analytics

This team is responsible for listening to the customer and feeding that back into our communications plans and product development.

Campaign Management

Our Campaign Managers set up the automation campaign canvases for all of our visitor and customer communications. 

Marketing Roles

This includes our management and executive roles. These are our people who work on the marketing strategy for our events and communications – which everybody else is feeding into.

Susan's Story

I’m serving as Marketing Manager in the ibtm CHINA team - my job is to promote this exhibition to targeted groups in a variety of ways.

Within my role, I need to consider matters with an international view, while also being targeted and effective. These skills are required for any ibtm project.

Digital Marketing Manager

I joined Reed Exhibitions as Digital Marketing Manager in the Central Marketing team in 2016, from a background of working in the Sports Industry. In this role, I work collaboratively with RXUK shows and central marketing teams to understand what our customers' value, so that we can find new ways to delight them. 

Personally, the opportunity to learn from my colleagues in a large marketing community has been invaluable. At RX I feel empowered to be creative because of the support, trust and encouragement shown. It’s also nice that RX recognise the achievement and contribution of staff - in 2017 I was lucky enough to be awarded a Customer Focus Award.

Group Marketing Director

I was initially interested in a career at Reed as I had always been interested in planning, organizing and promoting events. After seeing such a range of industries, destinations and career paths, it felt like this was a perfect fit for me.

I joined RXUS in 2009 as part of the Central Marketing team. The centralized marketing department offered me immediate exposure to an array of marketing disciplines, relevant training, industries and colleagues throughout our region.

With this exposure, I felt set up for success to grow my career, leading me to my current role as the Group Marketing Director for our jewelry portfolio here in the US. One of my favorite parts of my role, and Reed overall, is that we collaborate across so many different departments and business units to create experiences that help connect customers in new ways.

We believe in the power of knowledge and sharing with one another, whether it's monthly get-togethers to discuss topics such as social media or research, or informal training in the office like our copywriting sessions. With shows all over the world, you'll also have plenty of opportunities to attend and work on events with one of our teams.

Working in Marketing

Our roles within Marketing are extremely varied, but there are overarching qualities that we look for in all of our people. We want individuals who are questioning and willing to step in and help where there's an area in which your expertise is needed. As we work in a matrix, it's important that you have the flexibility to work across different functions should you need to. Like many other departments at Reed Exhibitions, there's generally a lot of plates to spin as you'll be working on a lot of different events, where the responsibilites of your role are quite broad.

You could get stuck into a number of different areas depending on your role. These include managing website content, analysing and tracking campaigns, project managing our advertising planning, analysing campaigns and identifying key areas for improvement, and collaborating with other departments to ensure that we deliver our events to the highest level of quality that we possibly can.
