Our Operations Division play a key role in bringing our events to life – they physically build the shows, design the layouts and coordinate all of the contractors.

TEAMS YOU CAN JOIN WITHIN OPERATIONS

Operations

It's our main Operations team who deal with contractors, health and safety, and the design of the layouts of our events.

As part of this team, you'll play a key part in physically putting together our industry-leading shows. 

Event Co-ordination

This is the team who are dedicated to individual shows and portfolios and so play a vital role in our department.

You'll provide general project support across these show teams. 

Customer Service & Sponsorship Fulfilment

Based out in Manila, this team provides all of the first line customer service for our customers across all of our shows.

You'll ensure our customers are aware of the information they need to provide us to fulfil their sponsorship.

Floor planning or Smart Space

Our floor planning team are essential for ensuring the floor plans for all of our shows are up to date. 

While our Smart Space team are the ones who build bespoke stands for some of the customers at our shows.

Working at Reed Exhibitions has given me so much experience and I have learnt so much. 

It's really fun being part of a centralised team, as you are able to work on and travel to multiple shows, rather than focusing your time on just one event. The Operations division are also such a friendly and collaborative team to work with.

Operations Executive

I joined Reed almost 3 years ago as a Co-ordinator working on All-Energy and In-Cosmetics North America.

I really enjoyed my role as a Co-ordinator and getting to go on-site to help at lots of different shows, but it was on-site that I got a glance into Operations and I knew that was for me!

Now I work on 3 of my own shows in Operations: World Travel Market, Arabian Travel Market and Imbibe. It's hugely exciting being the first ones on-site to organise the whole show being built up from the ground. I have also been very lucky to travel to Cannes, Dubai and New York with Reed, as well as a few glamourous trips to Scotland.

Sponsorship Fulfillment Manager

I was only too happy when the opportunity presented itself within the Operations division to join the Sponsorship Fulfilment team.

Now I’m able to do what I love whilst working for a company that allows me to work flexibly, provides great benefits and also encourages a sociable, community culture with the regular events organized by the Social Committee.

It is exciting to work with people who are passionate about the varied roles they carry out and are also committed to helping other people learn and develop new skills.

Working in Operations

Working with our external partners, we build the infrastructure to support all on-site activity in relation to the delivery of the show.  As a team we pride ourselves on achievement of deadlines, compliance with Health & Safety regulations and supporting revenue growth, whilst working closely with the show teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

We look for individuals who demonstrate initiative, an inquisitive mind, an obsession with making things better and a passion for solving puzzles. In addition, you should have the humility to laugh at yourself, a willingness to ask for help when you need it, and the ability to deal (healthily) with multiple projects, tight deadlines and demanding partners.

You might not know

Our teams are made up of over 10 nationalities, including Turkish, Italian, Brazilian, Spanish, Filipino, Thai and British.

Operations is a specialist business partner to almost every other department at Reed Exhibitions, executing sales and marketing plans against budget and strategy.

We have Operations teams throughout the world, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, São Paulo, Norwalk, Connecticut, Paris, Bangkok, Richmond and Manila.
